Description
-----------
Fujitsu Software ServerView Linux Server Integration Pack for
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) permits PRIMERGY Linux Servers
to be monitored via SCOM. Both hardware and software components are monitored.

The product is released for Microsoft Products: 
   - Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2
   - Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2016
   - Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2019
   - Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2022

The product supports SCOM Management Console running on
   - MS Windows Server 2012 R2
   - MS Windows Server 2016
   - MS Windows Server 2019
   - MS Windows Server 2022

Supported Operating Systems on managed nodes (PRIMERGY Systems)
 - RHEL 7.4, 7.6, 7.7, 7.9 (x86_64)
 - SLES12 SP4, SP5 (x86_64)

Product requires SV-Agent version 6.31.10 or newer on managed nodes.
PRIMERGY Systems running with older SV-Agent version will be discovered for
this product in SCOM but may show incorrect health-state values

RAID monitoring using ServerView Agents CIM Provider is only available for
SV-Agent version 8.00.06 or newer and SV RAID Manager 6.4.11 or newer
on managed nodes.

The Power Consumption Monitor is only enabled if the managed system meets
the requirements:
    Redundant power supply
    iRMC Management Controller installed
    Power Consumption monitoring enabled on iRMC

The Server View RAID Subsystem Monitor requires the
ServerView RAID Manager >= V6.0.3.


Installation
------------
The requirements specified below must be satisfied for integration.

- Management station
  EMicrosoft System Center 2012 R2 Operations Manager or later

- Managed PRIMERGY servers
  EServerView Agent for Linux >= V6.31.10
  ESV RAID Manager >= V6.0.3

Note on updating the ServerView Library Management Pack
--------------------------------------------------------
The ServerView Library Management Pack is used and referenced by all
Fujitsu ServerView Integration Packs for System Center Operations Manager.
If a ServerView Integration Pack contains a newer version of the
ServerView Library Management Pack this new Fujitsu ServerView Library MP
can usually be imported into SCOM without impacts to any other
Fujitsu ServerView Integration Management Packs.
In the rare case that a new version of the ServerView Library Management
Pack is not compatible with the old version, it is necessary to uninstall
all Fujitsu Management Packs including their Override Management Packs
and reinstall all Fujitsu Management Packs from the folder
‘Management PacksEtogether with the updated ServerView Library
Management Pack.


Limitations and Caveats
-----------------------
- The product is released for a support of PRIMERGY servers with
  SV-Agent version 6.31.10 or newer.
  PRIMERGY servers with older SV-Agent version will be discovered by this
  product but the shown health states in SCOM may be incorrect.

- RAID monitoring using ServerView Agents CIM Provider is only available for
  SV-Agent version 8.00.06 or newer and SV RAID Manager 6.4.11 or newer
  on managed nodes.
